Harper Macleod New Website Experience

Redesigning and re-platforming can always seem a daunting project, especially when the new client is a leading top law firm, with business-critical online content authority. Coupled with the question of ‘ How do you start from a fresh perspective and reconsider how to get the most from a new site. To work collaboratively with a digital agency to develop a best in category user experience which makes interacting with Harper Macleod easy and enjoyable.’

Well… This is the perfect challenge for us here at mtc. We proposed to simplify the navigational menu through a review of the Informational Architecture of the site and implement a standardised taxonomy, making it easier for visitors to find the information they were after, this is complemented by a free text search, allowing visitors to search by specific terms. We focused on delivering a leading User Experience, to generate high quality leads into the firm, which can be tracked end to end, continually providing Harper Macleod with data that will enable them to make decisions and evolve the website which is built on a scalable platform.

The site also befits from several other key features, such as a connection to the staff intranet which pulls staff details and images to the site. Integration with Passle which is adding news into articles and many more.

Delivering on Key Project Objectives

“From the initial meeting to the delivery of the new website, I was confident that mtc would deliver on our objectives. The project team, headed up by Project Manager Scott Wilson, was in regular contact with us and easy to deal with.

The result is a fantastic new website that represents the Harper Macleod brand. The simple navigation helps visitors easily find information on the services they need. Our service offering is wide-ranging and diverse and this is also reflected in our client profile, which means there are a lot of pages to be found. We’re looking forward to working with mtc to continue supporting us with our website.”

Hamish Wilson, Digital Marketing Manager

"The website has been well received both externally, with continual growth in traffic and goal completion and internally, by key stakeholders within the firm. It also has the highest WooRank score (This is a widely used tool, providing a score that is graded on a 100-point scale that represents a website’s Internet Marketing Effectiveness. The algorithm is based on dozens of criteria, including search engine data, website structure, site performance and more.) of the top Law Firms in Scotland.
We look forward to our ongoing partnership with Harper Macleod."
