A new digital platform to showcase the benefits of being a Chamber of Commerce Member.

Dundee & Angus Chamber of Commerce are the leading business membership organisation in Dundee & Angus and part of the worldwide long-established Chamber of Commerce brand. With over 700 members who between them employ over 67,000 people, they truly are at the heart of the thriving Dundee & Angus economy. 

As the Chamber’s digital partner for several years, mtc were awarded through a competitive tender process the opportunity to redesign and develop their website and digital membership platform as part of their digital transformation programme.

This has been a very exciting and challenging project, both from a technical and design standpoint. The previous Dundee & Angus Chamber of Commerce website was dated, it struggled to give users clear insights into the vast services the chamber has on offer, and more importantly the quality of the benefits it enables its members to access. 

As the chamber’s current digital partner and platinum member, mtc proposed a key step change in the chamber’s digitalisation. The new website showcases the high quality of service Dundee & Angus Chamber of Commerce can provide, which encourages users to engage, book events, enquire or request further engagement and just as importantly, attract new members to the Chamber. This in itself was a great design challenge, to easily, logically and in a fun and interactive way, engage with users to make the most of their membership.

Technical Overview

From a technical point, the site benefits from a large dynamic membership database, which is integrated with both their finance system, Sage and CRM system Zoho, enabling them understand their members better, therefore providing a greater understanding of their needs and further develop their services, while allowing members to:
