Web design that starts with the goal, not the layout
We design around your customers and what the business needs next. Strategy, UX, creative and build in one place, so the site works as well as it looks.
Great design starts with better questions.
The best partnerships start with a question, not a wireframe. We work with your team, test the assumptions and keep improving the site after launch.
We start by understanding your goals
Design shouldn't come down to opinion. We look at what the business needs, what customers need and how the site will change after launch.
Great design shouldn't stand still.
Businesses change. Customers change. Products, technology and priorities change with them.

Deliver
The website launched
The first build went live: a brand and shop for a business already growing faster than its own infrastructure.
-
Mar 2015
Plan
An ongoing development partnership
The relationship moved from project to partnership, starting with Equity for Punks IV, the crowdfunding round that needed to handle thousands of investors at once.
-
Aug 2015
Deliver
BrewDog USA
A second market, with its own store on the same platform.
-
Mar 2016
Deliver
Bottlebox
A beer subscription club on the existing platform: six plans, skip, pause or cancel at any time, Stripe for the recurring billing, and orders flowing into the same fulfilment as the shop.
-
Jul 2016
Deliver
Equity for Punks USA
BrewDog's first raise outside the UK, with a $50m target. Live updates, FAQs and benefits pages ran on the main site, and every allotted share was imported back so US investors unlocked the same perks.

Jul 2017
Deliver
A new site
Three years on, the platform was rebuilt around what the business had become rather than what it had been.
-
Apr 2018
Deliver
Equity for Punks USA II
The second American round, run the same way: shares allotted on the US platform, imported back and activated on brewdog.com alongside the UK investors.
-
Oct 2018
Deliver
Equity for Punks V
Another round through the same platform, six months after the second US one.
-
May 2019
Grow
Subscriptions
Recurring revenue added to the model, which meant new journeys, new billing and new retention work.

Deliver
Equity for Punks goes global
Multi-language, multi-market, one platform, so the round could run everywhere the brand had reached.

Until 2022
Grow
Eight years of partnership
Development and marketing ran side by side throughout, right up until the business was bought over.
Valued partnerships
The clients who stay with us, and grow with us, year after year.
Don't redesign the website. Rethink what it needs to do.
Tell us what's changing in the business and we'll help work out what the site needs to do next.
Let's talkStill deciding?
The questions we get asked most often before a design project starts.
What kind of web design does mtc. do?
We work with established organisations where the website earns money or runs part of the operation. Corporate sites, eCommerce, complicated customer journeys and larger platforms.
We suit businesses who want thinking and an ongoing relationship, more than a visual refresh.
What's the difference between web design and UX design?
Web design covers the whole look and feel: visuals, layout, how content is presented, how the brand comes across. UX is about how people find their way around and get things done.
We don't run them as separate jobs. The site has to look right and make sense to the person using it.
Do you design before choosing the technology?
Yes, usually. What customers and the business need should point to the platform, rather than the platform dictating the experience.
Plan tells us what customers, your team and the business need. That shapes both the design and the technical decisions in Deliver.
Can you redesign our site without rebuilding it?
Yes. Not every design job needs a rebuild.
We'll look at the current site, the journeys, the analytics and the technical limits, then say whether you need steady improvement, a redesign or a new platform.
How will we know the new design is working?
We agree what success looks like before launch and make sure it's being measured.
After launch we use analytics, behaviour, conversion and customer feedback to see how people really use the site, and what to improve first.
Can you carry on working with us after the redesign?
Yes, and that's where most of our best relationships come from.
After launch we can keep going on design, development, CRO, analytics, SEO, paid media, email and content as your priorities shift.
What should your next website actually do?
Maybe the current site no longer looks like the business. Maybe customers can't find what they need. Or you've simply outgrown it. Tell us where the business is going and we'll help work out what the site needs to become.
